This bread can also be made using a store-bought biscuit mix and following the same cooking directions.
- 1 cup regular flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup water
- 3 tablespoons oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Mix ingredients with just enough water to form a stiff dough
- Dust your hands with flour, then make a round flat cake. Handle the dough as little as possible as this will make it tough.
- Dust the flat bread with a little more flour and place in pre-heated iron skillet or baking tin
- Bake over coals propped in front of the fire or in a reflector oven
